Teacher and learner data

A privacy policy that explains what happens to your data.

This policy explains how Teach Tek uses teacher, academy, learner, and guardian data to operate pages, booking, teaching, and billing. It does not grant unlimited rights over data or replace the teacher or academy responsibility to enter accurate information and obtain necessary consent.

Data we process

We process account data such as name, email, verification state, sessions, and roles. We also process workspace and teacher-profile data, including public name, bio, subject, city, availability, lesson types, and content the owner chooses to publish.

A booking may include learner or guardian contact details, appointment, lesson type, accepted policy, and operational status. Teaching tools may record course membership, attendance, submissions, assessment, progress, and certificates according to the teacher’s use of those tools.

Commerce records include invoices, JOD amounts, payment evidence, refund states, receipts, and material entitlements. An invoice does not mean payment succeeded; the system retains the state and evidence received or approved by an authorized user.

We may record operational and security details such as network address, request times, session identifiers, audit events, and delivery state as needed to prevent abuse, diagnose failure, and evidence sensitive actions.

Why data is used and who sees it

We use data to sign users in, isolate workspaces, display intentionally published pages, calculate availability, operate bookings, manage learning, issue documents, provide billing and support, and protect the service. We do not sell teacher or learner data.

Team members see only what roles and assignments allow. Owners manage the workspace, teachers work in assigned profiles, and assistants remain limited to granted permissions. Learners or guardians may see information addressed to them through an account or secure link.

Data may pass through storage, email, messaging, meeting, or payment providers enabled by the platform or teacher. Those providers also have their own terms and policies. A teacher must not enter third-party credentials unless authorized to do so.

Information intentionally published on a teacher page or in discovery becomes available to visitors. Discovery is optional. Student numbers, results, images, or testimonials must not be published without an appropriate basis and consent.

Consent, minors, and security

Marketing consent is separate from the operational need to send a booking confirmation or reminder. Consent must be documented and withdrawable, and non-consenting people are excluded from campaign audiences.

When a request concerns a minor, the workflow requires guardian evidence according to the action. Sensitive notes or identity documents should not be entered when they are unnecessary for the service.

We use tenant isolation, permissions, environment-provided encryption, audit records, and private download controls. No transmission or storage method is perfectly guaranteed; users should use strong passwords, enable additional verification when offered, and avoid sharing private links or tokens.

The browser stores session and language cookies and local data needed for continuity. The learner space may keep local history on the device, which the user can clear from that device.

Export, deletion, and retention

An owner can request a workspace copy or deletion from privacy settings. An authorized user can request a learner copy or deletion from the learner record. An export is private and currently expires after 7 days; download it from the request and do not share it.

Workspace deletion currently enters a 30-day retention period and suspends the workspace. An eligible request can be canceled before finalization begins. A temporary legal hold may prevent finalization until its basis ends.

Deletion does not mean every record disappears immediately. Current policy retains required financial, audit, consent, and privacy records for up to 7 years while unnecessary identity, teaching, engagement, and commerce data is erased or de-identified.

The privacy request state shows whether it is pending, processing, retained, completed, or canceled. If the workspace is no longer visible or you cannot sign in, use the support page and the verified contact channel in your account communications.

Your choices and questions

You can correct account and profile data in the relevant screens, withdraw marketing consent, unpublish a page or discovery listing, remove an integration or domain, and request a copy or deletion when your permission allows.

Canceling a subscription is not account deletion. Paid features may stop while data remains stored for recovery. Use the deletion request if your goal is to close the workspace and erase data that is eligible for erasure.

Before submitting a learner request, verify the learner or guardian and never send an export through a public message. Before deleting an academy, review teachers, invoices, materials, and domains because the action affects the full workspace.

For a booking record, material, or teacher policy question, contact the teacher or academy first. For a platform operation or a request you cannot open, continue to the support page linked below.
